The
Power of Vitamins and Minerals
The greatest
law of the human biology is replenishment. By supplying our
body each day with the elements of which it's composed, we can
attain complete health providing due attention is given to exercise,
our mental health and well being.
Health
is the indisputable foundation for the indemnification of life.
Our bodies are made up of many atomic elements. The principle
ones are:
Oxygen Calcium Sodium Chlorine
Carbon Phosphorus Magnesium Fluorine
Hydrogen Potassium Iron Silicone
Nitrogen Sulphur Iodine Manganese
If our bloodstream, organs, glands, tissues, cells, and the
rest of the human biology do not contain these elements in their
proper proportion, we are living in a state of decadent existence.
We not only die prematurely, we
suffer along the way.
Every part comprising the human biology is composed of microscopic
cells containing the various elements mentioned above. These
cells are continuously being used up in the course of human
existence and must constantly be replenished to be rebuilt.
A diet consisting, exhaustively, of cooked devitalized foods,
inevitably results in the demise of these cells, creating disease.
Amazingly,
it was all the way back in 1936 when we received an official
warning. US Senate Document #264 published by The Second Session
of the 74th Congress provided the following statements:
"Do you know that most of us today are suffering from certain
dangerous diet deficiencies which can not be remedied until
the depleted soil from which our foods come are brought into
proper mineral balance?"
"The alarming fact is that foods fruits and vegetables
and grains, now being raised on millions of acres of land that
no longer contains enough of certain needed minerals, are starving
us no matter how much of them we eat."
"Laboratory tests prove that the fruits and vegetables,
grains, eggs and even the milk and meats of today are not what
they were a few generations ago."
"No
man could eat enough fruits and vegetables to supply his stomach
with the mineral salts he requires for perfect health, because
his stomach isn't big enough."
"It
is bad news to learn from our leading authorities that 99% of
the American public are deficient these minerals, and that a
marked deficiency in any one of the more important minerals
actually results in disease."
"Any
upset of the balance, any considerable lack of one or another
element, however microscopic the body requirement might be,
and we sicken, suffer, and shorten our lives".
The
mineral content of the earth's soil continues to deteriorate
at an ever accelerating pace as a result of world over population,
and mass farming.
If people depend totally on a so called "balanced diet"
for the required minerals of which the human biology is composed
of, proper health cannot be obtained unless there is some kind
of supplementaton.
Food grown on depleted soil is no longer adequate. Supplementation
in this highly processed day and age is an absolute must, especially
for fitness oriented individuals.
In fact, exercise without supplementation is extremely detrimental
to our health. Athletes sweat out more minerals in 5 years than
a sedinentary individual does in 75 years.
The muscles of the body actually depend heavily on the vitamins,
minerals as well as on the other nutrients that we take in so
as to ensure that theyre always well taken care of. Several
vitamins and minerals actually work synergistically in keeping
us fit and having stronger muscles.
Vitamin
B and C, Potassium, magnesium, calcium and phosphorus are
all examples of vitamins and minerals which work together
in making sure that our muscles are able to contract smoothly
and effectively, as they should. This is, of course, essential
to keeping the heart beating in a regular and efficient fashion.
It is also important to take note that while the heart is
the most important muscle in the body, each and every muscle
in a persons body deserves to be treated with equal
importance and care since they work as a group and their health
is critical to our longevity.
Our
human genetic potential includes a life free of disease with
a longevity potential of 120 to 140 years. To do such would
require all 90 nutrients, which includes 60 essential minerals,
16 vitamins, 12 essential amino acids and 3 essential fatty
acids.
Due to the lack of attention to the basics of the human biology
we fall short of our genetic potential. Do not consider it an
expense for the purchase of vitamin and mineral supplementation,
but rather consider it an investment in your bank of health
and one of most poweful tools in the prevention of disease.
