Sting Gets Counter-Stung

A SHOWTIME sting to defame a Harvard-trained vaccine-injuries expert was counter-stung for a documentary exposing the stars of "Penn & Teller: Bullshit!" as prostitutes for network bosses in bed with drug industrialists.

The hilarious sting began when Bullshit producers contacted Dr. Leonard Horowitz, Editor-in-Chief of Medical Veritas (Medical Truth) journal, to discredit him and the anti-vaccination movement for his endorsements of a natural antibiotic and vaccine alternative--OxySilver--viewed by drug companies as competition for lucrative infectious disease markets.

Dr. Horowitz, allied with investigative journalist Sherri Kane, had been researching drug industry influence over the media, what they call the "PharmaMedia," for months before receiving the "invitation" from SHOWTIME. They knew the cable channel is controlled by Sumner Redstone of CBS-Viacom; with NBC-Comcast and Rupert Murdoch-controlled companies, including Direct-TV and Time-Warner cable, broadcasting the show.

In Medical Veritas journal, the investigators had already exposed key partnerships with conflicting interests that influence the PharmaMedia. Sales are driven by drug advertising and pharmaceutical-friendly programming. Evidence screams of a conspiracy between drug company executives and network directors to advance profitable propaganda undermining legitimate health care reforms.

In addition, alternatives to drugs have been under attack by BigPharma's FDA regulators. Paid-off politicians are passing laws making personal care products and natural remedies harder to get. Only a PharmaMedia conspiracy explains why news networks and talk shows have grossly neglected these issues and alternatives to drugs and vaccinations in violation of the public's trust, consumer preferences, economic recovery, and anti-trust laws.

"Tragically, with recommendations for prevention being criminally neglected," said Dr. Horowitz, "the public is destined for more intoxication and depopulation."

"By evading common sense and zero-risk highly-effective alternatives to pharmaceutical poisons," Ms. Kane added, "drug industry investors, especially the PharmaMedia moguls directing the networks, are exclusively profiting."

The Sting and Counter-Sting

SHOWTIME's Bullshit makes a mockery of "guests" expressing such attitudes, or advancing anything that challenges BigPharma. According to the cable network's promotions, Penn & Teller "utilize principles of magic and trickery, as well as good old fashioned 'hidden camera' sting operations, to smoke out nonsense peddlers and reveal how they operate."

Victims of past shows include alternative medicine doctors, holistic practitioners, spiritualists, and televangelists that Penn, a rabid atheist, profanes as "zealots and cult leaders."

So Horowitz and Kane plotted a counter-sting to film what would happen when SHOWTIME bosses' conflicting interests were exposed. They took cameras to the "Whore House"--the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. They filmed Penn & Teller's merchandising operation, and investigated their theater owners and promoters including Harrah's, Texas Pacific Group, and the Apollo Investment Group that controls MGM and the new City Center. They learned these financiers, the wealthiest "private equity" investors on earth, are advancing agendas completely consistent with the views expressed in Bullshit!

With the activists' cameras rolling, SHOWTIME's production crew arrived at the doctor's private studio where they balked at the props Horowitz and Kane prepared. Senior Bullshit Producer, David Wechter, who had requested the "guests" provide sales videos and product photos, got "Wanted for Genocide" posters bearing the names and faces of his bosses instead. The pair wore matching Penn & Teller tee shirts that read "Redstone-Murdoch Whores" signed by both Penn & Teller before hidden cameras. A large poster detailing the connections between SHOWTIME, drug industrialists, and media moguls stunned Wechter into calling his bosses who ordered the crew to flee the scene immediately.

The counter-sting produced hilarious footage that is now showing on YouTube as a teaser for a forthcoming documentary, PHARMAWHORES: The SHOWTIME Sting of Penn & Teller, directed by Fahmi Farahat, starring Kane, Horowitz, and obviously Penn & Teller. The edu-taining film is scheduled for release March 15, 2010, through Tetrahedron Media Group.
