Want to Heal Mother Earth? Focusing On Healing Your Root Chakra

Chakras are energy vortexes located throughout our body which regulate the flow of energy through our energy system. The functioning of the chakras reflect how we choose to respond to conditions in our life. We open and close our chakras when we decide what to think and what to feel. To assist in the earth's healing, we must open our root chakras and allow the energy to flow.

You must first understand that you are not your physical body, nor are you even physical matter. You are only energy and holographic in nature. Everything which has happened to you and others around you, including mother earth, happened and is happening for one reason: to merge your energy with other realms of energy within your consciousness. The culmination of this merging of energies will not be at the end of 2012 but the end of 2013.

One of the ways to faciliate the energy vortex that will surround these shifts if through the manipulation of our chakras. Since the earth is undergoing a huge transformation to assist in our healing process, we must also assist her in her healing process. For the earth is not doing anything she does not need to do right now. Earthquakes, volcanic activity and earth changes will all continue, and get worse, for the earth is also giving birth to a new human and she must prepare herself to welcome us. The root chakra is our connection.

The root chakra is located at the perineum between the anus and the sex organs. The color of this chakra is red. The parts of the body affected by this chakra are the lymph system, skeleton system (teeth and bones), the prostate gland in men, the sacral plexus, the bladder and elimination system, and the lower extremities (legs - feet, ankles , etc.). Also the nose, since it is the organ of the sense of smell, and associated with survival. The endocrine gland associated with this chakra is the adrenal glands.

The ultimate root charka failure is suicide, but imbalance can also lead to drug addictions, anemia, cancer, arthritis, heart disease, gynecological problems, aids, herpes, candida, decreased immune system, lower back pain, constipation.and problems with the adrenals, kidneys, spinal column, colon, legs and bones.

This chakra represents security, survival, trust, the relationship with money, home, job. The ability to be grounded, to be present in the here and now. The ability to allow one's self to be nourished, in the sense of allowing one's Inner Being to be satisfied.

This is also one of the reasons this chakra can be used as a connection by what are referred today in the english language as reptilian beings who can manipulate their energy aligned with this chakra to ground themselves to human beings across dimensions. It allows them to interfere with the sense of security, survival, trust and a sense of satisfaction that all humans innately possess. The interference creates a sense of victims within us. Human beings that are clear of mind and have a free flowing root chakra without obstruction, cannot be invaded by reptilian beings unless there is an agreement.

This chakra also reflects a person's connection with their mother, and with Mother Earth. How the person feels about being on the earth and their connection with the physical body.

Every other chakra is downstream of it and only receives the energy that the root chakra can pass through to it. The path to health and mystical power goes right through the gender organs. To understand your root chakra, you must come to a place of peace with your sexual energy.

The Root Chakra channels the earth's energy up to our higher chakra centers and helps to ground us on the physical plane. The more we ground ourselves the greater chance we have of making our dreams real and developing into the people we would like to become. When we lose our connection to the earth, we cut ourselves off from the healing source of Mother Earth. We disconnect ourselves from our ability to lovingly care for and nourish ourselves as well as to provide the physical comforts we need. When we become disconnected, we become one of life's victims.

The dysfunctional archetype of the Root Chakra is the Victim. The victim feels helpless, stuck in a state of fear, with no sense of empowerment. Being a victim is paralyzing on the psyche and the body. In order to survive both emotionally and physically, it is essential to ground these feelings and to reconnect with the earth. Many people may not realize that they carry traces of the victim mentality within their personality, but it may emerge during times of stress or crisis. If they were to stop and experience the feelings they have about life they may be surprised at the depths of the anger, fear, resentment, and frustration they carry inside them.

The healthy archetype of the Root Chakra is the Mother. The Mother represents our ability to nourish and look after the life force within us with care, sensitivity, and vigilance. Integrating this archetype is essential to our development, because she teaches us how to take care of ourselves and to respect our needs. She helps us integrate the feminine aspects of our personality so that we can develop our capacity to love - love ourselves, love all people, love life. As we develop the Mother within ourselves, we stop projecting our needs onto the world around us so that we are able to look after ourselves.

How Do You Know If Your Root Chakra Is Working?
Here's a simple test to see whether your First (Root) Chakra is balanced and working well.

1. I have a lot of physical pain -- lower back pain, problems with feet, knees, or varicose veins. (Physical pain in general can indicate discomfort with our physical bodies. When it occurs in the legs, hips, knees, ankles, or feet, this can signify difficulty in accessing earth energy.)

2. I have habits and addictions that run my life. (When habits and addictions run our lives, we are often resisting the experience of physical sensation.)

3. I have many good ideas, but I have difficulty materializing them. (Problems with manifesting ideas can indicate a strong fear of failure, a preference for the world of imagination, and difficulties with the rules of physical existence.)

4. Routine things like balancing checkbooks and running machines confuse or bore me. (Confusion and/or boredom regarding the practical aspects of existence can symbolize a basic distaste for the fundamentals of physical life.)

5. I spend a lot of my time and energy in worrying about survival.

6. My life is full of stress.

7. Security is the most important thing to me. Worries about survival and feeling desperate reflect feelings about the general insecurity surrounding physical existence, as does the feeling that life is stressful.

8. Physical existence is just something we have to suffer in order to reach a higher plane.

If you checked off two or more of the above statements, you probably have some degree of blockage around the First Chakra.

Grounding is essential for balancing the Root Chakra. One way to do this is to imagine roots coming out of your Root Chakra and the soles of your feet going deep into the earth. Imagine yourself being securely attached to Mother Earth, absorbing her loving energy through these roots.

There are many ways to balance our chakras. Many people use crystals such as Ruby, Bloodstone, Smoky Quartz, Hematite, Black Tourmaline, Obsidian, and Garnet. The stones can be carried in a pocket, placed in the area of the Root Chakra or at the bottom of the feet, or made into an essence.

Imagine your Root Chakra. The color of this chakra should be a beautiful, clear red. If you see any other color, remove it and imagine the chakra being filled with red energy. Once you are able to imagine the proper color filling this chakra, imagine it spinning in a clockwise direction. Spin it faster and faster as you fill it with red energy.
