Any Misery Upon Us Is Simply The Passing of Greed and It Too Shall Pass
The great Charlie Chaplin had some incredible words in his final speech in the Great Dictator. They still ring true today. He reflects on what humanity is really all about and that our struggles are caused by nothing more than a system based on greed and those that consent to that system. We all have the love of humanity in our hearts and although some may try and convince us differently, it is the people that have the power to change the world.
"You the people have the power the make this life free and beautiful... to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of democracy, let us use that power...let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world...a decent world that will give men a chance to work...that will give youth a future and old age a security...let us fight to free the world...to do away with national barriers. To do away with greed, with hate and intolerance...let us fight for a world of reason...a world with science and progress will lead to all mens happiness...let us all unite!"
