By definition, the difference between "New Paradigm Thinking" and what could be referred to as "old paradigm thinking" is as dramatic as the difference between quantum physics and Newtonian physics. Contemporary science has proven that matter is affected by the mind of the observer. Likewise, medical science has proven that every thought we think creates a physiological response in the body, or in other words, that every thought we think produces a physical reality.
Every day, I meet people with the same desire. The desire to step into a "new age", a "new paradigm" a "new experience" of life. So many people simply wish to live healthfully and happily and in balance however they feel stuck in their old patterns or in a life situation that seems overpowering or unchangeable. All so often, these people feel overwhelmed by the state of affairs on the planet or the condition of their body or their personal finances. Their mind tends to be filled with stressful thoughts of gloom and doom and powerlessness as they absorb news of their own worsening condition or of global issues such as economic crisis, terrorism, war, climate change, disease, and drama of all sorts.
In my private practice I have been witness to profound transformations by people of all types and from every corner of the planet. I have seen dramatic physical, emotional, financial, and relationship issues permanently resolved. I have experienced the joy of those who have stepped into a new reality and the ripple effect of their joy on all around them. It is my firm belief that regardless how dire certain circumstances may seem to be on the surface, that in exactly the same way that change is effected on the personal level, we can effect change on a planetary level. This is what "New Paradigm Thinking" is all about. It's about consciousness in action. It's about being the change we want to see in the world.
Here's the bottom line these might just be the six most important words ever:
"We become what we think about"
Albert Einstein once said: "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." How true this is! The fact being that as much as we may not like to admit it, we are not victims of circumstances ..we are the creators of circumstances! To some that may be bad news because it puts the responsibility right in their face, but to me, and to all those who continue to transform their own personal reality, it is the best news ever because this knowledge infers that personal empowerment and general well being are simply a matter of awareness .a matter of accessing and acting upon accurate and comprehensive information.
"Accurate" is important because if one starts with false assumptions, even logical conclusions must be false. "Comprehensiveness" is important because our personal reality is a composite formed by many layers of information which, when combined, create an outcome, or experience.
For any true wellness practitioner, comprehensiveness is absolutely essential in the evaluation of any physiological or psychological condition. For example, any evaluation would be quite incomplete if one were not to take into consideration such factors as the physical environment in which the individual spends their time, or the state of the body with regard to such things as bowel movements (or lack thereof), skin conditions, pains, chronic diseases etc., and any emotional factors, as well as diet and overall lifestyle. Similarly, accuracy is equally important. Underlying subconscious belief systems should be examined along with any other information which the client may have compiled over time and that which now supports the very situation that they seek to change. Inaccurate assumptions tend to be a common cause of dis-ease.
"Expressions of dis-ease" come in many forms. In the body they can be anything from aches and pains and skin conditions, to multiple chemical sensitivities, intestinal disorders, cancer, heart conditions or any one of a countless number other ailments. In our regular day-to-day life, expressions of dis-ease show up as drama, or a bad attitude, or conflict with others, or simply as what seems to be the inability to manifest lasting joy. Such dis-ease may also appear in the form of financial difficulties, un-satisfying business results, or even what might be labeled as "bad karma".
The mind, body, and environment are all parts of a complex system. What we must understand is that regardless of the "symptom", the following factors are important and must be considered relative to a lasting resolution.
- Condition of the body. This includes all aspects of physical well being. All imbalances, discomforts and irregularities must be taken into account.
- State of mind. This includes all aspects of emotional stress, mental expextations, negative self thoughts, limiting ideas and one's commitment to life.
- Over-all environment. This includes exposure to toxins, electromagnetic fields, noise pollution, radiation, light pollution, drama, negativity and more.
*Strategies which only take into consideration one of the above areas, or worse yet, that only considers a part of one of these areas are not likely to produce comprehensive results.
When we change the way we think, we tend to adjust the way we act. When we adjust the way we act we tend to make better choices. When we make "better" choices, choices that are in alignment with a comprehensive level of self awareness, we tend to do things that are more in alignment with the best interest of others and the planet. Want a better world? Then the answer is simple and direct, focus upon that which is within your power to change now, focus on YOU!
You are either part of the solution or you are part
of the problem.
At our upcoming conference in Vilcabamba, Ecuador in July, 2009, we will explorer human consciousness in a deep and comprehensive way. Through the presentation and examination of actual real life stories of personal transformation and the sharing of other profound and exciting information, combined with deeply moving, personal metaphysical experiences, people who have committed themselves to a path of personal freedom and global well being will gain a much deeper understanding of the nature of their own personal reality and the specific tools they have at their disposal to alter it.
Remember: Change occurs when we initiate a process of change ..not simply through a desire to change. If this were enough, simply the desire to eat would nourish us. Instead, we must go through the process of eating.
