Health Tip: Learn What
Triggers Your Head
Pain Headaches often strike at the most inopportune
times. According to Bucknell University, their causes can include
stress, skipping meals, irregular sleep habits, or certain foods.
Here are suggestions on how to help cope with headaches:
Lie down in a darkened, quiet room. Try to sleep. Place an ice
bag on your head. If you suffer from migraines, take medicine at
the first signs of pain.
People who have frequent headaches should get regular exercise,
try to maintain regular sleeping and eating patterns, and practice
good posture. They also may want to keep a headache log, including
when each headache appears, where the pain is felt, the severity
of the pain, and any factors that seem to trigger the headache.
