The Myth of Safe Bio-Identical Hormones and 9 Reasons To Avoid This Toxic Therapy
February 28, 2014 | JunkHealthcare | M.Torres
Promoters of bio-identical hormones claim that they are anti-aging, increase sex drive, prevent cancer and have little to no risks or side effects. After all, when a person doesn't have enough hormones, the solution is to give them more hormones right? It's a short-sighted objective based on the far too frequent model of treating symptoms rather than the root causes of illness. Only clever marketing has duped millions of women into thinking that bio-identical hormones are any safer than the toxic FDA-approved hormone replacement products. They are not safe, not natural, and bluntly stated, are disease promoting drugs.

When All Else Fails To Heal You
February 27, 2014 | Consciousness | D.Markowitz
If youíre dealing with symptoms that no one can diagnose, much less treat effectively, maybe thereís someplace else youíve yet to look. Iíve been in alternative medicine for twenty years; in 2012 I started attracting clients who had already done everything they and others knew to do for their ailments. Most exhausted all the traditional Western modalities, which led to a bevy of alternative modalities. None of those were successful either, and as it seems to be the natural progression for most, next came more esoteric concepts and therapies. Many entered into what some call the New Thought movement deep and hard. They tried chanting, positive affirmations, and numerous energy medicines, and these too were ineffective. One day in a session it hit me; I was able to intuit that the aches and pains of my client werenít her own.

New Autism Definition Will Decrease Diagnosis By One-Third
February 26, 2014 | JunkScience | D.Mihalovic
The rates of autism have increased approximately 1000% since the 1980s. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) describes the cluster of neurodevelopmental disorders as defined by American Psychiatric Association's (APA) Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Officially, there are now 1 in 88 children in the United States who have ASD. Boys are almost five times more likely to be autistic than girls -- with 1 in 54 boys now identified. To curb the rates at which children will be identified with the illness in the future, new guidelines issued by the APA will reduce by almost one third the total number of people being diagnosed, according to new research from Columbia University School of Nursing published in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders.

My Tango With Cancer
February 24, 2014 | Cancer | M.Upadhye
Last year I was diagnosed with an ovarian cancer the size of a football. Initially it was a huge shocker. "How could I get cancer?" It was an emergency and my surgeon gave me just one week to put things in place and get myself on the operation table. Even though I underwent surgery I had a strong inner voice telling me to refuse Chemotherapy as my further line of treatment. The next 6 to 8 months was a journey of self-healing based on holistic principles.

False Science - How Bought And Paid For Propaganda Masquerades As Scientific Progress
February 24, 2014 | JunkScience | M.Torres
The pursuit of truth in modern scientific query is marred by greed, profit and only a concept of truth built on the assumption of an unexamined good. While pharmaceutical drug approvals, genetically modified foods and various other controversial technologies may appear to be based on "science", corporate interests and profits often interfere with the true meaning of what science represents to both academics and the public.

PhD Scientist and Biochemist Reveals Hidden CDC Documents Showing Thimerosal In Vaccines Increase Neurologic Disorders
February 23, 2014 | Vaccines | D.Mihalovic
The CDC has been shunning the correlations between thimerosal and neurological disorders for a very long time. Although the FDA gave a two year deadline to remove the mercury based preservative from vaccines after the neurotoxin was banned in 1999, it still remains to this day in 60 percent of flu vaccines. A vaccine industry watchdog has now obtained CDC documents that show statistically significant risks of autism associated with the vaccine preservative, something the CDC denies even when confronted with their own data.

Intravenous Vitamin C - A Cancer Killer The FDA Wants Banned
February 21, 2014 | Cancer | D.Mihalovic
Vitamin C has a broad spectrum antioxidant function with the ability to protect cell structures and DNA from free radical damage. Vitamin C is remarkably safe even in enormously high doses. Compared to commonly used prescription drugs, side effects are virtually nonexistent. No matter how high the concentration, vitamin C does not harm healthy cells. Yet, through an array of enzymatic and metabolic reactions, vitamin C has an impressive ability to protect and treat and wide range of diseases, including cancer. When something is this effective at treating disease, the FDA will stop at nothing to prevent public access.

Hemp is one of my favorite proteins for many reasons. Most hemp protein powders on the market have no fillers or additives and it provides the 8 essential amino acids and fatty acids. Youíll need much less hemp protein than other types of proteins for equal benefit. Your body will also immediately recognize and digest natural, whole hemp protein and it won't slow you down, bloat you, or make you feel uncomfortable.

What Determines The Value of Something?
February 20, 2014 | Consciousness | J.Richardson
Our perception of our own self-worth is how we ultimately judge the value of anything outside of ourselves. It could be anything...a relationship, a great functional pair of shoes, or a reliable piece of technology. You never know how valuable something is until it's gone and you rarely realize it while you have it. When we appreciate everything in our lives, we have a sense of gratitude for the simple things that make a difference. The more you are grateful, the more things will come into your life to be grateful for, and consequently value becomes a constant rather than something wavering.

Genetically Modified DNA Transfers From Food to Human Blood
February 19, 2014 | GMO | N.Longo
The inclusion of genetically modified (GM) plants in the human diet has raised concerns about the transfer of transgenes from GM plants to humans. Contrary to the claims by biotech giants such as Monsanto, a report in PLOS One shows that that meal-derived DNA fragments are large enough to carry complete genes as they enter the human circulatory system. In some of the human samples studied the relative concentration of plant DNA was higher than the human DNA.

Teens Are Not Convinced That Sunscreen Prevents Disease
February 14, 2014 | Sunlight | M.Torres
When it comes to rubbing toxic chemicals on our bodies, those who are informed can filter through the mainstream deception about our so-called "evil" sun. They're aware the sun is not our enemy and that sunscreen is a far greater risk to our health than any damage caused by the sun's rays. Apparently, teens aren't convinced about the false "sun causing cancer" message either. A University of Colorado Cancer Center study published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology shows that teens are only willing to wear sunscreen to prevent wrinkles, but not to prevent disease.

Sheer Ignorance and Insanity Is The Hallmark of Medical Practice Throughout History - Here's The Proof
February 11, 2014 | JunkHealthcare | D.Mihalovic
History is filled with stories of absurd medical ineptitude, and in all likeliness, today's medical practices will be seen in a similar light several decades from now. It seems that each generation of medical authorities are so engrossed in their sense of superiority, they fail to learn from history and recognize their repetitive assaults on the human body through their misguided intentions to treat symptoms with poison. The reason mainstream medicine has lost its footing in the hearts and minds of the people is not due to the lack of scientific progress, but sheer ignorance enveloped in a thick layer of insanity. Here's the proof.

5 Things We Were Always Told Not To Consume, Yet Are Fantastic For Our Health
February 7, 2014 | Nutrition | M.Torres
The list of government recommendations on healthy and unhealthy foods over the last several decades have been as reliable as trying to pick the right numbers on a lottery ticket. There are numerous examples of foods we were told not to consume, but are now at the top of grocery lists thanks to a savvy public who are no longer fooled by irresponsible recommendations based on corporate greed. We have become more informed on the downfalls of short-sighted advice from old-school nutritionists, who really had very little understanding of nutrition at all. Here are the top 5 things we now know are great for our health, but didn't used to based on limited perspectives on food education.

Faith often trumps our modern obsession with hygiene and let's face it, we can get sick in any public location. However, worshipers often unknowingly rub bacteria--including the kind found in fecal matter--on their own faces. Researchers found that holy water samples from churches and hospital chapels showed extremely high concentrations of fecal contamination.

Every Part of Your Body Is Linked To An Emotion - Here's How Your Body Responds To What You Think and Feel
February 5, 2014 | Consciousness | M.Delfino
When we go to a doctor we expect to be told what is wrong with us. We receive a diagnosis and then wonder what we will do about it. It's becoming obvious more and more that drugs are not, and never have been the answer to health. So why do we keep taking them at the advice of a doctor who might not have a clue what the side effects are? We have put our lives in the hands of doctors instead of taking back the power that sits within each of us to discover...if only we trust it.†
