Comment: Why is it bottom feeding sum bags will take something beautiful, fresh and wholesome; then pollute and misrepresent it for a few pieces of silver while the government watchdog FDA regulates our access to over the counter supplements and works to deny us our right to choose what we put in our bodies?

Ever wonder why commercial orange juice—even the premium, not-from-concentrate, "100-percent pure" juice kind—tastes the same each time you buy it, but doesn't taste exactly like a freshly peeled orange?
Turns out there's a lot more to making juice than simply squeezing some citrus. As part of the mass-production process, big-name brands like Tropicana, Minute Maid, Simply Orange, and Florida's Natural add artificial flavouring in order to make sure your juice tastes consistent from carton to carton—and to make sure it tastes like oranges.
"It really rocks people's world to learn that most orange juice is not a fresh product," says Alisa Hamilton, author of "Squeezed: What You Don't Want to Know About Orange Juice" says in an interview posted on her website.
Pasteurized, not-from-concentrate orange juice takes up a lot of storage space. In order to keep it from spoiling without adding chemical preservatives, the companies "deaerate" (or strip the oxygen out of) the juice. (Another surprise: During production, deaerated juice often sit in million-gallon tanks for as long as a

Dear All:

I not only agree wholeheartedly with what Mr. Arney has expressed here, I do not feel the need to be nearly so polite as he.

Don Tapscott says that the CBC provides "essential platform for discussion": to that I say "bovine excreta". (that means BULLSHIT, to the uneducated)
CBC's online forums are censored, not moderated as claimed. Telling the whole truth is not allowed, if it crosses the bounds of permitted information. This is either true, or there are a lot more rules for posting comments than are stated; on many occasions I have submitted verified information in an opinion, followed all the rules, treated all involved with due respect, and yet had my voice silenced by some ghostly "moderator, to whom I may never speak.

Furthermore, there is more than one way to limit a debate. One of the ways is to ensure that those "discussing issues" are carefully chosen so that only the "right" pieces of information are on the agenda. Another is to limit the scope of the discussion so as to cut out relevant data, a la Delphi Technique. And yet a third (there are more) includes having on-air personalities limited in where they can lead the discussion, and where they can allow others to go.

To be fair, CBC is not the only culprit to obfuscate, generalize, sensationalize, downplay, or outright deny things that are proven to be true and are absolutely relevant, such as is the case with Canada's new status as "war criminal" (See Nuremburg Code) in the Libyan aggression. One wonders if all reporters are really that deaf, dumb and blind, that they are shown up daily by intrepid alternative media who not only scoop them all, but get the true back story as well.
And one wonders what possible motivation could exist in any Canadian to do such disservice to the rest of us: what did we ever do to you, that you should treat us with such disrespect? Perhaps they are all dreaming of getting Senate appointments, or winding up as Governor General.

Bottom line, however, I personally cannot conceive of what sort of mass personality disorder causes reporters who have been shown the truth about Libya, have received proof after proof, that they would continue to write and speak baldfaced lies, and allow the atrocity to continue by keeping Canadians oblivious? What sort of person allows our government to assist in the destruction of the water supplies of a non-aggressive nation, along with their schools, their infrastructure, with horrendous loss of innocent life? Where is your human conscience?

I will be able to fully support CBC when the CBC supports sharing the whole truth, not skewed half-truths and propagandized sound bytes. Until then, you might spend some time considering the Libyan people, and what on earth they ever did to any of you to deserve your disdain.

One nauseated Canadian,

Dear Ian Morrison
Friends of the CBC,

As long as CBC only reports what it is told (basically) I find it hard to convince myself that there is any real value in the organisation outside sports.

I give you, for example, the bombing of the water pipe manufacturing plant in Libya which received no coverage from CBC that I can find, nor more importantly why the plant was bombed in the first place. That of course was so that the bombed water supply pipeline, which provide 70% of Libyan people with water, cannot be repaired.

Oh wait a minute that didn't get covered either did it?

Check it out on google and you will find all sorts of coverage including footage of the bombed out pipe plant.

At least you covered today's live update press conference but the only questions asked, by the few reporters who bothered to show there, were about Norway seeing the light and pulling out of attacking Libyan civilians, and the bombing of the satellite dishes for the TV station. When asked how that could be logically covered by the no fly zone enforcement and protection of civilians, Colonel Roland Lavoie gave the nonsensical answer that it was to stop propaganda. Propaganda? NATO is issuing nothing but propaganda that would have made Hitler and his crowd jealous.

My belief is that the CBC is failing to report to Canadians that Canada is not only in a full scale war against the Libyan civilians, but is also carrying out war crimes against them on behalf of NATO and the IMF and the Canadian people are being kept in the dark by the CBC. It is increasing clear that all NATO countries are being bribed, cajoled or threatened into replacing Gaddafi with some externally sponsored rebels, and you carry stories about this "ad nauseum", but where is the truth about this whole manufactured and criminal mess? Where is the truth about what Gaddafi has done for the Libyan people? Where is the truth about his plans to aid all Africa?

Where is the real reporting of who is killing civilians, and torturing government forces personnel? Why is Baird, and all his NATO buddies, in such a rush to back these rebels? Che Guevara would have conquered the world with this kind of support.

The No fly zone is so far exceeded with this incredible bombing of the Libyan civilians, their schools, hospitals, universities and their homes, and now to deliberately bomb their water supply pipes is beyond anything any reasonably sane or caring person would do but to coporations involved in rebuilding this damage it makes complete sense. To try to call it "enforcing a no fly zone" is mind boggling in it's deceit.

Where does the CBC stand on these issues? Well, it appears with their head buried somewhere it should not be.

If you really want the Canadian people to stand up for you CBC, then tell us what is really going on, and don't sugar coat it with politically motivated lies or propaganda.

Until you do my hard sought and increasingly worthless loonies will stay in my pocket.
